INDUCTION AS PROFESSOR OF PRACTICE, CYBERSECURITY – MIVA OPEN UNIVERSITY
On 15th November 2025, Dr. Tombari Sibe was formally inducted as Professor of Practice, Cybersecurity at Miva Open University during the University’s 2025 Matriculation in Abuja. The ceremony featured speeches by the Pro-Chancellor, Sim Shagaya; the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tayo Arulogun; and the Registrar, Iheanyichukwu Akwitti. The keynote address was delivered by former Lagos State Governor and former Minister of Works & Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola , SAN, CON.
Throughout his professional journey, he has contributed to bridging academia and industry. Miva Open University is now the fifth university across three continents (Nigeria, the UK, and the USA) where he serves in roles such as Lecturer, Dissertation Chair, Visiting Fellow, Industry Supervisor, Advisory Board Member, and now Professor of Practice.

In September 2025, we signed an MoU with Miva Open University to collaborate on research, innovation, internships, lab access, and entrepreneurial development, making Miva the second Nigerian university we directly support in addressing the cybersecurity skills gap.
