CYBERSECURITY TRAINING AT ICPC
We had the pleasure and
honour of facilitating a training on Cybersecurity for the Independent Corrupt
Practices and other related Offence Commission (ICPC).
This is quite timely as we
join the rest of the world in marking the 20th edition of the Cybersecurity Awareness
month, since the President of the United States and the Congress first declared
October as the cybersecurity awareness month in 2004.
ICPC is Nigeria's anti-corruption agency, set up by the ICPC Act 2000. The Commission’s mandate rests in the investigation, prosecution, and prevention of offences of corruption. It includes the following:
1. Prosecution
2. Prevention of corruption
through the review of lax operational systems in Ministries, Agencies, and
Parastatals.
3. Education of the public
against corruption.
4. Enlisting public support
for the fight against corruption.
At Digital Footprints, we
carry out corporate training services in specialist areas such as
Cybersecurity, Computer Forensics, Mobile Forensics, Network Forensics,
Incident Response, Data Recovery, Information Governance, and many more.
It's always a pleasure to
support our Law Enforcement Agencies in building competencies in cybersecurity,
digital forensics, and information governance. We thank the participants for
making the sessions quite interesting and leadership of ICPC for the
opportunity.
Thanks
to our team that delivered this: Robinson Tombari Sibe, PhD, FNSE, CCISO, CCME,
Eriba Williams (MSc,MCFI, CEH), Samuel A. Lambert, and Blossom U. Idigbo.
